A Peachtree City man was killed in a motorcycle accident Sunday afternoon in Coweta County.

David Neil Harris, 22, of Peachtree City, was struck by a car around 2 p.m. on 7149 East Highway 16 outside Senoia, according to the Newnan Times-Herald.

The driver of a car leaving the Cumberland Village Circle shopping center failed to see Harris and pulled into traffic, Sgt. Paul Culp, with the Senoia Police Department, told the newspaper.

Harris, who was wearing a helmet, struck the driver side panel of the car and suffered blunt force trauma to his neck and chest, the coroner said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and his death has been ruled accidental.
