A boil water advisory has been issued for a portion of northeast Forsyth County, authorities said.

After a service outage, water to the area was restored around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

A boil water advisory has been issued for those who were affected between Browns Bridge Road and Lake Lanier: Athens Park Road, Cain Circle, Cypress Oaks Place, Dogwood Place, Duran Circle, Fox Trail Lane, Hollywood Drive, Horseshoe Bend, Maple Run Trail, Mossy Oak Drive, Ponderosa Trail, Sourwood Drive, Vanns Tavern Road, Waldrip Circle and Yellow Pine Court.

People should boil water before using it for drinking, cooking or preparing baby food, authorities said. Water should be boiled for at least one minute after reaching a full boil.

Unless the Forsyth County Department of Water and Sewer announces otherwise, the advisory will remain in effect for 30 hours after the restoration of water service.

Residents should contact the water treatment facility at 678-513-6900 for additional information.
