One of the FBI’s 10 Most Wanted will be returned to Columbus on Thursday to face murder charges for the 2007 deaths of two college students.
Michael Jason Registe was arrested last August in the Belvedere section of Dutch St. Maarten in the Caribbean, where he was living in a guesthouse. The arrest came a month after he was named one of the FBI’s top 10 fugitives.
Registe fought his return to the United States, but on Thursday an FBI jet will land in Columbus with him on board, according to agent Stephen Emmett.
High school friends Bryan Kilgore, 20, and Randy Newton Jr., 21, were both shot in the head execution-style on July 20, 2007, in the parking lot of a Columbus apartment complex. They died within hours of each other.
