Twitter is having problems.

First there were the issues Tuesday with displaying timelines. Then, the company disabled its trends function.

Also, the company said it temporarily scrapped its new look, defaulting back to old Twitter.

"We've temporarily disabled #NewTwitter. Our engineers are working on re-enabling it and will update you shortly," the company said in a Tweet Tuesday evening.

There was no explanation for what went wrong, but an article by Reuters said a custom-built datacenter in Utah that was meant to house Twitter's gear had been "plagued with problems."
