Old Peachtree Road in Gwinnett County re-opened around 6 p.m. Wednesday after a gas leak was stopped.
A construction crew apparently struck a 2-inch line Wednesday afternoon, sending a strong gas odor into the air, Gwinnett County fire Capt. Tommy Rutledge said.
An Atlanta Gas Light crew arrived to contain the leak, near Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road.
No one was evacuated and no injuries were reported, Rutledge said.
