They sneak into businesses and homes around lunch time and steal credit cards while people are away from their desks. Then they try to use the cards at nearby stores.
The two "office creepers" are believed responsible for a string of thefts in the Hall County area, police said Wednesday. A reward is being offered to help catch the two women.
The duo recently victimized Northeast Georgia Medical Center employees and have been connected to similar crimes in DeKalb, Gwinnett and north Fulton counties, the Hall County Sheriff's Office said. The creepers usually strike between noon and 1:30 p.m. when people often leave their desks for lunch breaks, police said.
One suspect is of medium build, in her middle to late 30s and wears a cheap looking black wig and blue medical scrubs. The other suspect has a medium to heavy build, is in her middle to late 40s and wears a white cap and black leather jacket.
The two have been seen driving a burgundy Dodge Stratus and a Silver Dodge Stratus.
Anyone with information about these suspects is asked to contact Northeast Georgia Health System Investigator Paul Loggins at 770-219-1712.
