MARTA's north and southbound trains are running again after a passenger threat near the Arts Center station halted service temporarily.

A passenger on a northbound Red Line train made a threat and then got off the train at the Arts Center station, spokesman Lyle Harris said.

MARTA stopped all trains on the Red and Gold lines while authorities look for the man, Harris said.

It is unclear what type of threat the man made and what exactly he said, according to Harris. The incident happened around 12:45 p.m., and trains resumed service around 35 minutes later.

MARTA is running buses between the North Avenue and Lindbergh stations until the trains can resume normal service, Harris said.
