A Sandy Springs road closed for a week by a water main break will reopen Monday.

The repaving of North Mill Road will be completed soon, said Janet Ward, a spokeswoman Atlanta's Watershed Management Department.

The repaving also closed Brandon Mill Road, according to the City of Sandy Springs.

A sizeable water main break Sept. 18 at the intersection of North Mill Road and Brandon Mill Road damaged the asphalt.

About 20 people were without water for about five hours, said Ward.

It is not known what caused the break, but age -- the pipe is 50 years old -- and weather aren't believed to have been factors, said Ward.
