Norcross hires new community development director

Planning and development practices in Norcross will be led now by the city’s new Director of Community Development and Planning, Tracy Rye.

An Atlanta native, Rye graduated from Georgia Tech in 1993 with a bachelor’s degree in management and again in 1995 with a master’s degree in city planning, specializing in land development and economic development. Upon graduation, she held various positions in the Housing and Student Affairs divisions of Tech, ultimately becoming the chief financial officer for the Division of Student Affairs.

Rye recently moved to Gwinnett via Suwanee to facilitate her new role with Norcross.
