The Norcross City Council approved $4,500 on March 2 to fund a Health and Wellness program for city employees. In an effort to keep insurance claims down, and to have lower premiums the program will focus on exercise and nutrition.

A Wellness Committee will be formed to create fun, motivational and challenging programs and events for the employees. The approved program will offer group Zumba, Pilates, yoga, and nutrition classes, as well as a Biggest Loser contest and a citywide walk. The Insurance Claims Account will fund the program.
