The park includes four areas: two for large dogs, one for medium dogs and one for small dogs. The northern section of the park, which is one of the large dog areas, already has a path. But the three other sections have limited pathways — just enough to get dogs and their owners into each fenced-in area, then over to a shady pavilion.
All three sections will not close at the same time, said Assistant Village Manager Jim Barnes. The first to close will be the south side of the large dog area. Then the medium-sized dog area will close, and those dogs will be able to play in the freshly redone large-dog area. The last area to see work will be the small-dog area, Barnes said.
