New sidewalk coming near Sycamore Elementary in Sugar Hill

Gwinnett commissioners recently approved $392,000 for construction of a new sidewalk on Sycamore Road from Sycamore Elementary School to Richard Creel Trail in Sugar Hill.
The 1,700-foot sidewalk will run along the west side of Sycamore Road from Richland Creek Trail at the entrance to the Richland Creek subdivision to Riverside Road. The sidewalk will then run along the east side of Sycamore Road from Riverside Road to the school.
Construction of the new sidewalk is expected to be complete by early 2020. Drivers should use caution when traveling in the work zone.
