Two new Johns Creek City Council members were sworn in at Monday night’s meeting.

Chris Coughlin, a senior research scientist with a public company, will serve out the unexpired term for Post 2, which ends Dec. 31. Coughlin had beaten Todd Burkhalter for the unexpired term in the Dec. 1 runoff.

Jay Lin will take over the regular four-year term for Post 2 in January, having defeated Coughlin for that slot in runoff voting.

In addition Endres, a certified public accountant, was sworn in as Post 5 council member. Endres defeated Nazeera Dawood Dec. 1.

The slots opened up when the former Post 2 and 5 officerholders stepped down to run for state senate.
