Charles D. Rousseau will be sworn in as Fayette County’s newest commissioner in a special ceremony at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, in the public meeting room at 140 Stonewall Ave. W. in downtown Fayetteville. Rousseau was elected to the District 5 seat in a special election held Sept. 15. He will serve the remaining term left by Pota Coston, who died of cancer in July. The regular commission meeting will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday, and includes appointments to local service boards and proposed amendments to the county ethics ordinance.
