Pierre O. Clements was appointed by Commissioner Bruce Holmes to be his new representative on the Henry County Development Authority, filling an unexpired term that ends Dec. 31, 2018. The appointment was approved unanimously by the Board of Commissioners.

Holmes previously appointed Mitzi Bickers to fill that seat in January but she was never sworn in and never sat in a HCDA meeting. Bickers, a political operative and former member of Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed’s staff, has been mentioned in numerous media reports regarding an ongoing investigation into corruption in Atlanta city government.
