A man in a cap, brown blazer and white button-up dress shirt handed a note to a teller at a SunTrust bank branch in Marietta and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash, Cobb County police said.

The incident happened shortly before noon Monday at the SunTrust in the Publix supermarket at 2900 Delk Road, police said. A man allegedly handed over a note demanding money, took the cash and fled on foot.

No weapon was displayed, police said.

Police described the suspect as a black man, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a medium skin tone, razor bumps or rough facial skin and a medium build.

He was wearing a brown blazer or jacket, a white dress shirt and a tan derby or Kangol style hat, police said. He also had an earpiece in his left ear and wire-rim prescription eyeglasses.

The Cobb police robbery squad was investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call the police at 770-499-3945.
