The National Institute for the Study of Transfer Students will move from the University of North Texas to North Georgia College & State University next month, officials announced Monday.
The institute, which opened in 2002, studies what affects students' success as they transfer from one college to another. The group looks to ease the transfer process and help students earn a college degree.
Bonita Jacobs, president of North Georgia, previously served as the institute's executive director.
The group's current executive director, Janet Marling, will relocate to Georgia.
