The DeKalb County Board of Commissioners approved an allocation of $200,000 from Commissioner Steve Bradshaw’s District 4 Park Bond Funds for capital improvements to Mystery Valley Golf Course, according to a press release.

Opened in 1966, the golf club with its 18 holes of challenging play, is nestled among 265 acres of native Georgia pines in the Stone Mountain area.

“Mystery Valley Golf Club was voted in the 1970s by Golf Digest as one of the top 50 courses in America to play,” Commissioner Bradshaw said. “The golf course and facilities have taken on many changes and improvements over the last 35 years. Today, however more capital improvements are necessary in order to get the golf club back to its once highly-sought-after must-play golf course. I look forward to playing many more rounds of golf there in the future.”
