A motorcyclist that ended up under a MARTA bus Tuesday afternoon will be charged with the wreck, Atlanta police said.

The man, whose name was not released, was in stable condition after driving into the bus, stopped in the 3800 block of Roswell Road in Buckhead Tuesday afternoon.

Dozens of firefighters were on the scene of wreck, which happened shortly after 3 p.m. in front of the Goodyear store in Buckhead. The man was loaded into an ambulance around 3:45 p.m. and was alert as he was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital, police said.

The man is expected to face charges for following too closely and driving without a license, Officer John Chafee told the AJC Tuesday evening.

The bus involved in No. 2977, Route 5, Lyle Harris, spokesman for MARTA, told the AJC. No one on the bus was injured, Harris said.

Roswell Road was temporarily closed in the area of wreck.
