Motorcyclist hit by car in Cobb County
A motorcyclist is in critical condition after a collision with a car Tuesday morning in Marietta.
The man was heading south on Powers Ferry Road south of Delk Road around 9:21 a.m. when a woman driving a Honda Accord pulled out to make a left turn northbound. The car ran over the cyclist, according to Channel 2 Action News.
Bystanders rushed to the man's aid, while the female driver limped her car to a nearby parking lot and waited for police, according to Channel 2. The man was taken to a nearby hospital where he is listed in critical condition, police said.
Authorities have not identified the motorcyclist or motorist.
Charges are pending.
