Gwinnett police released more details Thursday on the skeletal remains found Sunday afternoon in Lawrenceville.

The medical examiner's office has determined that the remains are of a black woman between 19 and 22 years old, police said. The estimated height of the woman is between 5 feet, 8 inches and 6 feet tall.

Police also said the woman was wearing a Smoke Rise brand red jacket, in addition to the T-shirt that was found with the remains. Police said the T-shirt appeared to be from a 2008 memorial function for the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. The words read in part, "BELOVED COMMUNITY MARCH, MEMPHIS, TN." and "Dr. Martin Luther King Jr." and "In rememberance (sic) there is life/A night of storytelling/1968--2008."

Around 1 p.m. Sunday, Gwinnett police were notified of and responded to the discovery of a body near the 1400 block of Azalea Drive. The homicide unit and crime victims investigations unit said in a news release that this is a "suspicious death" investigation.

Anyone with any information on the case should call Gwinnett police at 770-513-5300.
