A 76-year-old Fairburn man reported missing Monday afternoon was found safe early Tuesday.

A police K9 unit found Robert J. Arnold under some brush at the back of an industrial facility on Bay Street, only a few hundred yards from his home.

Fairburn police Sgt. Anthony Bazydlo told the AJC that Arnold was in "relatively good health, was up and talking to officers."

Arnold, who suffers from dementia and also is a heart patient, disappeared from his Inman Street home around 4:15 p.m.

Arnold was taken to a local hospital early Tuesday to be checked out for exposure, Bazydlo said.
