The Milton City Council has approved agreements with a youth football organization for continued athletic programming, and with the Fulton County Board of Education for Parks and Recreation’s use of a middle school.

New Found Life Youth Football League Inc. provides Milton Steelers youth football tackle and flag football leagues and camps to Milton and Alpharetta residents at Bell Memorial Park. The council approved a Parks and Recreation Department Athletic Association Manual and facility use agreement with the nonprofit organization.

Separately, the council approved an amendment to an intergovernmental agreement with the Fulton County schools at Northwestern Middle School. The city agreed to resurface the gymnasium floor once a year, at a cost of $2,200 a year, for the next six years. Milton Parks and Rec uses the gym for its basketball program.

The city also agreed to continue to maintain the outdoor fields at the school, used by the girls Lacrosse program. The agreement runs through May 2024.
