The Milton City Council has approved an $89,050 architectural services agreement to renovate the clubhouse at the former Milton Country Club.

The city retained Jericho Design Group LLC for design services, bidding assistance and construction administration for the building, now a city parks and recreation facility.

The clubhouse is to get an updated locker/restroom area to serve interior spaces and the outdoor poor; a multi-purpose space and arts classroom to replace an exercise room and pro shop, and a dining/cafe area in what is now a dining room and kitchen.

Plans also call for replacing mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems; putting in full sprinkler and fire alarm systems; and, on the building’s exterior, installing new windows, siding, roofing, a monument sign and parking lot signage.

The project, which will create mixed-use spaces for community and park programs, has a target completion date by the spring of 2021, Community Development Director Parag Agrawal told the council.
