(Original story published June 22):A Mexican restaurant in Cobb County failed its recent health inspection for issues with cleanliness and food stored at improper temperatures.

An inspector visited the Cazadores Mexican Restaurant at 3165 Johnson Ferry Road on Tuesday afternoon and gave it a score of 63/U. Any score below a 69 is considered failing.

The main hand-washing sink in the kitchen was missing necessary plumbing, according to the inspection report. An employee went to the hardware store and bought the part during the inspection, though the sink still leaked.

Beef and beans were observed stored at an improper temperature, the report said, and were reheated.

The inspector also noted that the dishwasher was not dispensing chlorine, which is used in small amounts to sanitize.

Jesus Lomeli, a manager with the company, told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Thursday that the dishwasher has been fixed. Lomeli also works with the company’s other Cazadores location on Sandy Plains Road.

The report noted missing ceiling tiles, including some that were “stained and are curled” at the Johnson Ferry location.

Lomeli said that the store’s air conditioning system has been leaking and was causing the ceiling damage. He said the company is fixing the issue.

The restaurant's last two inspections in November and May of 2016 were both passing scores.

Follow-up inspections are usually done within 10 days of the original evaluation.
