Metro Atlanta shoe store chain closing Cobb location after a decade

Abbadabba’s announced Wednesday that it plans to close its Kennesaw store after a decade.

This leaves three other stores: the location on Johnson Ferry Road, one in Buckhead and the original in Little Five Points.

The closure is because the other stores “consistently” out-performed the Kennesaw location, according to a spokeswoman, which is near Town Center at Cobb.

Arielle Burnette, who handles public relations for the shoe store, said the six employees who worked at the Kennesaw store will all be offered positions at the other locations.

Abbadabba’s will close its Kennesaw location.

An extra 20 percent will be taken off of merchandise already on markdown during a close-out sale, Burnette said.

The store’s last day will be Oct. 27, she said.

“We very much appreciate the effort our staff and managers have made at this location,” president Janice Abernethy said in a news release. “The love we are receiving from the community at this time is overwhelming and we are so thankful for their support over the years.”
