Memorial Drive in DeKalb was closed Tuesday morning as investigated a suspicious package at a motel.

According to Channel 2 Action News, a woman called 911 from the QuickTrip on Memorial and said she needed to go to a crisis center. The then said she had left an explosive device at the Savannah Suites near the intersection of Rockbridge Road. Police went to the motel and found a package that matched the caller's description.

Police also went to the QuikTrip where they found the woman who made the call, police spokeswoman Mekka Parish told Channel 2. The woman was arrested, and the bomb squad later determined that the package contained only computer parts. Memorial Drive reopened shortly after 10:30.

Channel 2 is reporting that the woman is a former employee of Georgia Perimeter College who was recently terminated.
