The jackpot for Tuesday’s Mega Millions drawing rolled over to $80 million after no players matched all six numbers drawn Friday night. Meanwhile, the top prize in Saturday night’s Powerball multi-state lottery has reached $100 million.

One Georgia Lottery player matched the first five numbers in Friday night’s Mega Millions drawing – 8, 18, 25, 42 and 49 – but not the Mega Ball, which was 14. That player, along with seven other players in California, Delaware, Illinois, Michagan, New York, Texas and Virginia, won $250,000.

The Powerball jackpot has been steadily climbing since Dec. 26, when a player in Florida won a $50 million jackpot.

If a single player matches all six numbers in Saturday night’s Powerball drawing and chooses the cash option, he or she will receive a one-time payout of approximately $63 million.
