Cobb County police are looking for two men who robbed several McDonald's employees just as they were opening their restaurant Friday morning.

No one was injured in the robbery, which happened around 5 a.m. at the fast food outlet in the 2700 block of Sandy Plains Road near Marietta.

Cobb police Sgt. Dana Pierce told the AJC that two masked gunmen entered the restaurant "and made the five employees go back in the back of the restaurant and stand up against the wall."

"They took all the personal items from them, cell phones, that type of thing, then they had the manager go to the office and open the safe. They took an undisclosed amount of cash," Pierce said.

The suspects fled in a gold 2005 Ford Focus that they took from one of the employees. The vehicle was later recovered a short distance from the restaurant.
