Cobb County police Thursday were looking for two men who robbed a bank near Powder Springs on Wednesday, then hijacked a car to make their getaway.

The men, both wearing masks and armed with handguns, entered the Bank of America in the 2600 block of Powder Springs Road shortly before 3 p.m. and forced bank employees and customers to lie on the floor, Cobb police Sgt. Dana Pierce said.

After one of the masked men took an undisclosed amount of cash from the bank, both fled out the front door, where they carjacked a Nissan Xterra from a man in the parking lot, Pierce said. The Nissan was recovered a short time later.

Pierce described the suspects as black, in their late 30s to early 40s, and both between 5 feet, 11 and 6 feet tall. Both had gold teeth and were dressed in black hoodies and jeans, Pierce said.

He asked that anyone with information call investigators at 770-499-3945.
