Marietta grants expansion to The Bottoms Group

The Bottoms Group in Marietta will add another location across the street at 191 Cherokee St. NE.
On Feb. 12, the Marietta City Council decided 6-0 to grant several variances for the new property.
Councilwoman Michelle Cooper Kelly was absent.
Attorney for The Bottoms Group, Kevin Moore, said the building at 191 Cherokee St., a former medical office, will be demolished.
In its place, a two-story brick building of 5,158 square feet will be constructed.
Moore said the interior of the present building is “unusable” and has been vacant for a couple of years.
The present building of The Bottoms Group, an insurance broker since 1947, is at 180 Cherokee St. NE. and will continue to be used by that business.
