Dalton police are looking for the man who stole a framed display of $200 in cash from a restaurant Wednesday.

The man walked into Las Palmas Mexican Restaurant on West Walnut Avenue shortly before 11 a.m., took the frame off the wall behind the cash register and left, police said in a news release. The two $100 bills were signed with "good luck" notes to the restaurant's owners.

Although the incident was recorded by a surveillance system, the suspect's picture has not been obtained because of technical problems, police said. Authorities are still trying to retrieve a photo.

The suspect is described as a white man in his mid-30s, about 6-foot-1 with a slim build. He had a goatee and was wearing glasses, a brown cap, khaki pants, and a gray hoodie sweatshirt.

Anyone with information should contact Officer John Edwards at 706-278-9085, ext. 152.
