A 27-year-old Gwinnett County man shot during an apparent robbery has died from his injuries, police said Thursday. And the gunman is still on the loose.

Alex Delgado Ramos, of Lawrenceville, died Tuesday, two days after being shot in the parking lot of a CVS pharmacy in the 1100 block of Grayson Highway, Cpl. Jake Smith with Gwinnett police said. Officers arrived at the scene shortly before 10 p.m. Sunday, Smith said.

Ramos was transported to the hospital, where he later died, Smith said.

Investigators believe the shooting suspect drove away in silver or gold Chevrolet Impala, but do not have a good description of the suspect. The suspect was wearing a black hat, a black jacket with a white stripe across the back and down the sleeves, dark blue jeans, and dark shoes, according to police.

Anyone with information on this crime should contact Gwinnett detectives at 770-513-5300.

Ramos is the second homicide victim in Gwinnett County this week. On Wednesday, Vickie Bowles, 54, was found dead in the Buford apartment she shared with her brother, police said. Her brother, Dennis Roger Puckett, was charged with homicide late Wednesday.

Ten homicides have been reported in unincorporated Gwinnett County this year, police have said. Gwinnett police worked 22 homicide cases in 2011. The city of Norcross has had five homicides, including four people killed last month in a murder-suicide at a family-owned spa.
