An argument led to a fatal shooting at a gas station in southeast Atlanta on Thursday night, police said.

A man was sitting in a parking lot at a Citgo gas station in the 2300 block of Glenwood Avenue when he was approached by the suspect and an argument started, Atlanta police Maj. Keith Meadows said. The fight became physical and the suspect pulled out a handgun, he said.

During the struggle, at least two shots were fired, and the victim was hit in the chest, Meadows said. The man died after being transported to Grady Memorial Hospital.

He was identified as 19-year-old Dujon Parker by Channel 2 Action News.

Parker's cousin Raquel Bryan told Channel 2 that he worked at the car wash next to the gas station.

"We loved him," she said. "Always wished and wanted for him to do well. Just hate that somebody took his life."

Detectives questioned at least least four witnesses, Meadows said. Police were told that the suspect left the scene in a black Chevy Malibu.
