Police say a man was injured in a hit-and-run crash in Woodstock Tuesday.

Paramedics rushed Steve Bodi, 56, to Kennestone Hospital, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Lt. Jay Baker said. He remains in stable condition, a hospital spokesman said Tuesday afternoon.

Bodi told deputies he was driving south on Ga. 5 in Woodstock near the Cobb County line when a van made an illegal turn in front of his Nissan, Baker said.

The van driver pulled behind a nearby building before fleeing south on Ga. 5. The white van had a ladder rack and PVC pipe on top. It should have damage to the front and passenger side, deputies said.

Anyone with information about the crash may call Deputy Hal Daniel at 770-720-7079.
