A man was shot in the leg Tuesday morning near the intersection of Courtland and Pine streets downtown, Atlanta police said.

The man, who was shot once, was found lying in the middle of Courtland Street around 6 a.m.

Atlanta police Lt. Michael Ablan told the AJC that the man, whose name has not been released, was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in stable condition.

Detectives were canvassing the area for witnesses, but had no suspects in the shooting, which happened near a group of tents set up outside the Peachtree-Pine homeless shelter, Ablan said.
