Clayton County police Thursday were investigating the shooting of a man found dead overnight inside a motel room.
Channel 2 Action News reported that officers responded to reports of a shooting at the EconoLodge on Upper Riverdale Road just before midnight.
The man was found dead in an upstairs room at the motel. He had been shot in the head, according to Channel 2.
Police have not released the man's name or a motive for the shooting.
