Aug 6, 2015
A pedestrian attempting to cross a Marietta road was critically injured when he was hit by a car early Thursday, police said.
Gerald Mack of Marietta was walking on Delk Road outside of a crosswalk when he was hit about 5:50 a.m., Officer Jared Rakestraw said.
Investigators believe Wilfredo Ramos of Flowery Branch was driving a red 2001 Ford Focus westbound on Delk Road, approaching Franklin Road, when he hit Mack, Rakestraw said.
Mack was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Anyone with information on the crash is asked to contact Officer Rakestraw at 770-794-5357.
