A 44-year-old Powder Springs man is in a medically induced coma at a Cobb County hospital after he was hurt in a fight outside a bar in Hiram, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Dominick LePone has been in intensive care at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta since the Wednesday night incident outside Hiram Station on Atlanta Highway.

“He's in critical condition [and] could use your prayers,” LePone’s girlfriend, Sharon Alexander, told Channel 2.

Alexander said she and LePone stopped at Hiram Station to eat.

Police said LePone made a scene inside the bar and was asked to leave. Outside, the man got into a confrontation with some of the establishment’s workers and struck his head on the surface of the concrete parking lot.

A man who identified himself as Hiram Station’s owner told Channel 2 his employees were cooperating with police. He declined further comment.

“I don't understand why no one's been arrested. Why hasn't somebody been arrested?” Alexander said. “He's in there fighting for his life right now.”

Police told Channel 2 that they arrested a Hiram Station worker on an outstanding warrant but were still trying to sort out what happened Wednesday night.
