March 24, 2011

A 28-year-old man was arrested after allegedly following a woman around Kmart so he could videotape her rear.

Alejandro Paniagua Pretega had footage of the woman when he was arrested Tuesday afternoon at the Mableton Parkway store, according to an arrest warrant obtained by the AJC. A witness told police Pretega tried to video under the victim's skirt without her knowledge, the warrant states.

Pretega, of Austell, is accused of following the woman for several minutes between 1:30 and 2:30 p.m. and recording the woman without her consent, Cobb County police said.

He is charged with felony eavesdropping and booked into the Cobb County jail, where he remained Wednesday afternoon. Pretega is being held without bond due to an immigration hold, according to jail records.
