Georgia Tech police reported another attack on a student this weekend, but this time, the victim was male and the attempted robbery happened just off campus, in the Home Park neighborhood.

The latest incident occurred about 11:45 p.m. Saturday in the 1000 block of Atlantic Drive, just north of the northwest Atlanta campus.

According to a safety alert issued by Tech police, the victim reported that he was standing in the driveway of a home, using his cell phone when two males approached him from behind.

"One of the males tackled the student to the ground and attempted to steal his cell phone," the alert stated. "The offender was not able to take the student's phone and both suspects were last seen running northbound on Atlantic Drive towards 14th Street."

Tech police described the suspects as both being black, bald, and standing between 5 feet, 8 inches and 6 feet tall. Both were wearing dark pants, and one was wearing a white shirt, while the other was shirtless.

A Tech spokesman told the AJC on Monday that there were no new developments into the investigations into three attacks against female students that happened earlier this month.

In all of those incidents, a man approached a female Tech student on campus, grabbed or attempted to grab them and tried to sexually assault them. In all three cases, the women were able to get away from the attacker.
