The Lilburn City Council recently approved a change in conditions to relinquish a tall structure permit at 306 Luxomni Road and approved a similar permit for 313 Luxomni Road.

The change allows TowerCom to change the location of a proposed 175-foot tall (wireless tower and 3,600 square foot ground level facility) to the new location. The application included analysis of existing towers, distances to residential zoned and occupied properties, and evidence that there are no other existing structures within the area that could meet T-Mobile’s wireless infrastructure coverage needs.

Banks County 0 mile sign is displayed on Old Federal Road, Wednesday, May 21, 2025, in Carnesville. The boundary between Banks and Franklin mysteriously moved to the east, allowing the Banks sheriff to claim he lives in the county and keep his job as the top lawman. (Hyosub Shin / AJC)
