Following a public hearing, the Lilburn City Council voted 4-0 Monday to accept 46.5 acres on Arcado Road into the city limits. The property owners requested the annexation of undeveloped, residentially zoned acreage that touches existing city limits.

The land is at the intersection of Arcado Road and North River Drive and extends back to Louis Road.

The property is now rezoned from the county’s lowest density single-family residential requirements to the city’s lowest single-family residential zoning.

The proposed development for the property will require a minimum of 2,000 square feet and a two-car garage as part of the annexation. The zoning requires underground utilities and sidewalks. An amenities package is also proposed for the new subdivision.
