Lilburn adopts general fund budget

Following public hearings held on May 16 and June 11, the Lilburn City Council voted to approve the Fiscal Year 2018/2019 budget ordinance.

The FY 2018/2019 annual budgets include $7,916,111 for General Fund, $80,000 for Confiscated Assets Fund, $321,592 for Capital Projects Fund, and $3,779,763 for Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (2017 SPLOST) Fund. The city’s upcoming fiscal year is July 1, 2018-June 30, 2019. This budget includes a sanitation fee of $13.12 per month for each residential property owner.

City documents indicate the millage rate will remain at 4.43 mils and is scheduled to be adopted at the next council meeting at 7:30 p.m. July 9 at City Hall, 340 Main St.
