The Lawrenceville city council agreed recently to use asset forfeiture funds to purchase four police Tahoes for a total of $139,384. Asset forfeiture funds typically result from the seizure of ill-gotten money and instruments (weapons, vehicles, etc.) from criminal activity. These funds can come from drug traffickers, racketeers and other criminals.

Each black, V8 engine 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe will be purchased from state contract holder Hardy Chevrolet.
