The DeKalb school board cleared the way for high school lacrosse teams to be sanctioned by the Georgia High School Association. The board also voted to give teams funding for transportation and to provide a salary supplement for teachers who coach the sport. The district has some "club-level" lacrosse teams, but being sanctioned means they can compete on a larger scale.
