The King Center will distribute 1,000 turkeys Tuesday to several community groups to help feed the hungry on Thanksgiving.
The groups include: the Atlanta Community Food Bank, the Atlanta Day Shelter for Women and Children, Blankets of Love Outreach, Genesis Shelter, Hosea Feed the Hungry and Homeless and Project Open Hand.
An additional 100 turkeys will be given to families in the Vine City community in a separate event.
