Two motorists were killed early Friday morning when their vehicles collided head-on on a Forsyth County road, authorities said.

The Forsyth County Traffic Specialist Unit responded at 12:22 a.m. to an accident at Old Alpharetta Road and Wind Haven Drive, according to Sgt. Chris Shelton of the Forsyth Sheriff’s Office.

A 2002 Toyota Camry Solara was traveling north on Old Alpharetta when for an unknown reason it crossed the center line and collided with a southbound 2005 Nissan Murano, Shelton said.

The Nissan’s driver, Samuel Chi Epeagba, 53, of Alpharetta, and the Toyota’s driver, Cathy Jones, 50, of Suwanee, were pronounced dead at the scene, Shelton said. There were no passengers in either vehicle or witnesses to the collision.

The accident investigation was continuing Friday afternoon.
