Kennesaw State University will host a groundbreaking ceremony next week to celebrate the start of construction on its $5 million science lab annex building.

The ceremony is set for 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 18 on its Marietta campus at 850 Polytechnic Lane.

KSU notes the 10,411-square-foot addition to the Engineering Lab building at the Marietta campus will feature two biology and two chemistry labs to “meet the growing need for science majors in the workforce.”

Construction on the annex is scheduled to be completed in December.
