The Kennesaw City Council will hold a public hearing Nov. 16 on changing several city codes.

This meeting will be 6:30 p.m. at Kennesaw City Hall Council Chambers, 2529 J.O. Stephenson Ave.

Proposed changes in the Unified Development Code would affect definitions for family, single housekeeping unit, maximum residential occupancy and recreational vehicle and revise the landscape ordinance.

Massage therapy would be allowed in the Neighborhood Shopping district and detailed fence standards would be added.

More new standards would affect parking of recreational vehicles in residential districts, add utility standards for new developments and regulate food vendor trucks in residential areas.

A new section, titled Form Based Code Standards, also may be added to the UDC to establish standards for designated areas on Cherokee Street and in the city’s Central Business District.

A copy of the draft is on file in the Planning and Zoning Office, City Hall, for viewing during normal business hours from 8 a.m-5 p.m. weekdays.
